This morning we had breakfast at the hotel. Dai-ichi Hotel in Shinbashi has an ok buffet. Mostly a mixed clientele of gaijin (foreigners) and Japanese. Mostly for the business crowd that stays in a busy district of Tokyo city. The eggs are always runny compared to American Style (scrambled); and lucky there isnʻt a tour of Local Hawaiʻi people staying there...they would wipeout that buffet in seconds flat, leaving the local people to find other restaurants to still satisfy the leftover hunger. Itʻs also expensive for Hawaiʻi people but moderate for Tokyo City. I think itʻs about $300 a night. Obviously weʻre only staying one night.
Using my Hawaiian Miles :) I got a nice business class ticket on Northwest Airlines to Narita. My cousin Linda flies for Northwest Airlines; was hoping she was going to be on the flight. A lot of the flight attendants were based out of Honolulu, so it was like going to Vegas. Very relaxing, as you usually bump into people you know like my friend Shawn Suzuki; Principal of Konawaena High School. His sister and daughter Paris were flying to Japan for the day to go shopping. Sounds like the life of the Rich and Famous! She flies for Northwest, so itʻs easy for her to jump on a plane and go. The wonderful benefits of working for the airlines!!
